LAWN NOTES: Weeds and Weed Control in Florida – A weed is defined as a plant growing where it is not desired or where it is out of place. The most common customer request in lawn management involves weed control. It is important to maintain realistic expectations regarding lawn weeds. Your lawn may never be 100% free of weeds, as we have several different types of lawn grasses and hundreds of different weed species in our area. Our warm and humid climate is naturally conducive to weed development—even highly maintained golf courses have some weeds. Working together, we can help you keep your lawn in tip-top shape so that the weeds will be significantly reduced. |
